Brooke Chesher is a Registered Psychotherapist and the founder of Brooke Chesher Counselling and Psychotherapy. With roots in Child and Youth Work, Brooke has dedicated her career to supporting children and families, knowing from a very young age that she wanted to make a difference in the lives of children within her community.

Much of Brooke’s work has been focused in schools, community care programs, and child welfare, where she has gained extensive experience supporting children, teens, and families navigating complex challenges. She also has specialized experience working with military families and understands the unique needs, stresses, and strengths of families serving in the military.

Brooke provides family therapy using play therapy techniques to address systemic challenges within the family. By engaging children and parents in creative, interactive ways, she helps families develop a more cohesive, connected, and collaborative approach to problem-solving and communication.

Brooke also provides therapy for families who are welcoming a new baby, offering support during the perinatal and postpartum period. With specialized training, she works with both women and men to navigate the emotional, relational, and practical adjustments that come with parenthood, helping families feel supported, connected, and confident during this important transition.
